I don`t have to mention that even before the wedding I was thinking about how I was going to assign the photos in my albums afterwards. I`m still not done with that, but even before the big day I had found out about one wonderful idea for guest messages – the wishing tree! I thought how it would be great solution, to put all the nice wishes next to the photos. The memory to remember!
My husband cut small pieces of paper (yellow of course, because it was in the spirit of yellow-green event), and I was punching the wholes and putting rafia through them. I saw all the different kinds of wishing trees, but I chose the most simple and the most authentic solution – tree branch in the flower poth. Plum tree was shown as the best solution because it is soooo branchy, so it was enough to put only two branches for his abundant tree:
I decorated the tree, the table, and wrote some rhymes to motivate the guests to write something down. It wasn`t enough, so some of my friends spontaneously took the role of the animators for writing the messages.
When and where to give the envelops to the newly weds? Always the problem and an obligation. I decided to make a box and put it on the visible place, so the information about that has spread through the room, so the guests were going by themselves to it and putting the envelops inside. Later on, the parents brought in “a la Mission impossible” the box in the rug to some secret location.
I used regular box for A4 paper, covered it with decorative paper, later with the lace and jute rope, and glued a message on it.
I also wanted to make a surprise for my husband. It was a pleasant surprise for my other guests too, and they are still mentioning it from time to time.
The paper hearts you could see on the floor were from my parents` dilligent hands, for whom I bought special paper cutter in the shape of the heart.
The room was also decorated with some DIY garlands, which I made by cutting the triangles of some striped cloths and glued them on jute.
I think that this is the end of my stories about the wedding. I`m here for the advice, help. To be more precise, I can`t wait to engage myself again in these things 🙂
